About Kim Brice
Creating a more balanced, compassionate and sustainable world
starts with nurturing those qualities in ourselves.
Humaness
Since I was a little girl, I have been called to bring greater humanity to this world. This has everything to do with my roots. My father and his family fled France for the United States to survive the holocaust. My Danish mother was adopted in secrecy at a time when unwed motherhood and adoption were taboo. I consider myself the caretaker of the lineage of my past and of a more balanced, compassionate and sustainable future.
Human Rights
My quest to contribute to a more humane and balanced world led me to study anthropology, international politics and human rights and to dedicate over 20 years of my professional life to social justice and human rights activism. I have lived and worked in Haiti as well as in Central, West and southern Africa. In 2002, I settled in The Netherlands for love and initially worked as a freelance organizational consultant supporting individuals in international social justice groups and private foundations in Europe, Africa and the Middle East to lead with greater awareness and purpose.
Being Human
In The Netherlands, I pursued my interest in the body-mind connection and the link between body awareness and personal effectiveness and re-connected with my love for dance. I soon decided to move away from my organizational consulting practice and to support individuals to work and live with greater resilience and fulfillment.
I have gained certification as an Integral Leadership coach, Burnout Prevention and Recovery coach, and a Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) trainer. I am also a certified Nia instructor and am an avid yoga and Aikido practitioner. The services I offer incorporate state of the art practices from both Western and Eastern psychology and philosophies. In 2020, I co-founded The Self-Investigation, a foundation dedicated to supporting mental healthy workplaces in the media and human rights sectors.
I believe that the more self-aware we are and able to tap into our body’s intelligence, the better placed we are to help ourselves, our families, communities and the world at large become a more balanced and healthy place.
